Foodie Club reading at the Yogurt Shoppe, 2015.

My son loved this book!

By robin on December 2, 2013

As a university professor of Reading and mother of two, I have very high standards when it comes to children's literature. The Foodie Club is one of the few new high-quality, clever, well-written and fun new hardcover picture books out there these days.

My 5-year old son loved the prose and could relate to both the older (good eater) and younger sister (picky one). He talked about becoming a member of the "Foodie Club" for days and now uses the term when his little sister won't try something new.

The illustrations are vibrant and fun and the little "extras" at the back of the book make the price well worth it.

SMART, WITTY AND FUN!!

So funny and engaging - AND a great way to get the kids to expand their culinary horizons!! The author had a smart, witty, engaging style. My kids loved it (2 boys) and I enjoyed it too!!

Clever, clever, clever

If only this book had existed when I was a kid maybe I would have enjoyed the delights of Indian food, tomato, guyaba and so many more intimidating but delicious foods way earlier in life! Super cute illustrations too, I will definitely be gifting this to a few of my little cousins this year!

Love it!

"The Foodie Club" is a great book and is an amazing aid to solving what can be a tough problem to fix with kids. Dani Shear gets it and Holly Weinstein's illustrations are the cherry on top!
